Okay, I must be seriously behind the times if I’m just seeing this for the first time right now. But just in case I’m not the only one, I feel like everyone needs to hear the awesomeness that is the Mario Kart Love Song by Sam Hart. Rainbow Road is a metaphor for love, guys! It’s just so beautiful…

His Katy Perry parody, Mushroom Kingdom Gurls, is also pretty rockin’. And then there’s this quirky, beautiful original song, whose video features some of the most emotive inanimate objects since that sad Sidekicks salt shaker.

Surface Gundam by 송송 작가님
A tall, standing Gundam replica created entirely with flowers.

People? It’s a Gundam. Made of flowers. I once spent about 3 hours making a single solid heart out of roses. I don’t even want to know how long this took or how many fingertips were worn away in the process, but I have mad respect for the dedicated soul who did it.

Visible Children: We got trouble.

For those asking what you can do to help, please link to visiblechildren.tumblr.com wherever you see KONY 2012 posts. And tweet a link to this page to famous people on Twitter who are talking about KONY 2012!

I do not doubt for a second that those involved in KONY 2012 have great intentions, nor…

Last night I reblogged the Kony video. Today I saw this. You should definitely be aware of both sides of the argument, so read it.

please watch this and don’t click “like”, click “reblog”.

I had to pause this a couple times to cry for 5 minutes. You need to watch this. It’s beyond important.

as much as i may make fun of tumblr, if this site has shown me anything its that people know how to spread the word effectively

so reblog if you can, dudes

Gave me a strong case of the “Paladin Rage”.

But no, in all seriousness, this is important.

Stop Joseph Kony 2012

This is important viewing for everybody. Many of us focus primarily on what goes on in our personal sphere and forget there are serious problems in the world that just aren’t talked about every day. Guilty as charged, here. At the very least, it’s good for our worldliness and sense of humanity to take a moment and educate ourselves once in a while. This is a very worthy moment for a very worthy cause.

I’m putting this on my primary blog rather than my personal blog, not only because I feel it is an important cause, but because I would like to appeal to the Homestuck community. We’ll be celebrating global friendship on the comic’s third anniversary this April, the same month the Kony 2012 campaign culminates its awareness efforts. We come together all the time to help our fandom family, the children and family of acquaintances, and teenagers we don’t even know who are struggling with their sense of self-worth. With our numbers and compassion, I think we can contribute a lot to a movement like this.

Take a few minutes to watch the video. It’s well-made, informative, and non-confrontational. Check out the website for more information if you’re interested in getting involved, but you can actively help just by reblogging and spreading the word.

Thanks for watching <3

Here’s a well done video piece that’s been getting some attention today around the web. It’s worth watching.

Consider reblogging if you have not already.

An incredibly powerful message that needs to be shared with as many people as possible. If it moves you, reblog it.

Ghost Trick is on iOS!

This news makes me irrationally happy. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, a game I adored that about ten people played, is now available on iOS. You play the role of Sissel, a ghost who can manipulate objects poltergeist-style, and you must solve the mystery of your own murder while preventing several more. It’s got unique puzzle mechanics, charming characters, and a crazy story from the creator of Phoenix Wright. Try it, you’ll love it. You can try the first two chapters for free before buying!

(Note: Song used in video may be slightly NSFW.)

Someone just reminded me that this existed, and I felt the need to inflict it upon as many people as possible. This video amused me for years. The amount of work that must have gone into making the clips synch up so well is darn impressive. It helps that Advent Children contains some pretty, pretty CGI people. Aw yeeah.

Please do join me in indulging my inner 12-year-old.

This illustration is unbelievable. I do so love Brawl. Who’s your go-to fighting character?
(Let it be known that this GeekGirl plays a mean Pikachu.)
